Weekend one of Coachella is over and let's just say that Indio, California was the place to be at. Thanks to live YouTube streaming, I was able to catch some of my favorites acts and live vicariously through the videos (Tupac hologram?! Can't believe I wasn't there). The festival is infamous for their trendy attendees and celebrity sightings and lucky for us Harper's Bazaar documented some fashion savvy festival goers including Kate Bosworth & Emma Watson which both look incredibly cute in animal print. Amongst the crowd of hipsters, hippies and ravers you can always be sure to find A-list dressers. Here's some looks from the first weekend of Coachella and I'm sure we'll see plenty more next weekend.

FASHION INSPIRATION

Someone that inspires me? Janelle Monae. The way that she is able to wear menswear inspired clothing and still look so attractive. It proves to show that you don't need to be showing off certain body parts to look sexy and attractive in any way. Over the weekend I got a little creative with my nighttime outfits, and I can say I definitely looked to her for some inspiration. A little daring? Yes. Here's my take on some Janelle Monae.

MUSIC FESTIVAL INSPIRATION

Music festival season is here and it's our duty as attendees to look extra hip and stay cool. This weekend the spree of summer festivals kicks off in California with the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival which was extended to two weekends this year...talk about supply and demand. Once again, I'm beating myself down for not attending. Like Natalia mentioned in her post, every single year I've told myself I'd go and it never happens (next year, fingers crossed!!). Other up and coming festivals include Bonaroo, EDC Las Vegas and Lollapolooza, which I'm trying to go to.
