PINK LIPS

images via becauseimaddicted

It's summertime and bright colors are everywhere. What better way to bring a pop of color to an outfit than with a bright lip? Both Spring '13 and Resort '14 runway collections featured berry pink lips on their models making the girly hue a trendy look for this season. Dior, Giles and Missoni styled the lip color with sleek buns or straight messy hair. Check out Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstick in Fuchsia Flash Matte or Chanel Matte Lipstick in L'exuberante

CHLOE RESORT 2014

via Vogue

One designer collection I always look forward to see season after season is Chloe. The French fashion house never fails to stick true to their design roots which always incorporates a perfect blend of feminine and androgynous pieces. For their Resort 2014 collection, Chloe has mixed classic and modern elements to create a beautiful collection that includes items such as ultra wide pants and shorts, preppy shirts, signature oversized jackets and feminine dresses.

Check out the rest of the collection here.

FESTIVAL FASHION

Summer calls for music festivals. The torrential down pours and mud did not stop fashionable festival goers this past weekend at NYC's Governor's Ball. Wellies and shorts seemed to come in handy due to the now muddy Randall's Island. Unable to make it to this festival, we got a glimpse of these stylish New Yorkers.

ISABEL MARANT FOR H&M

Don't we love these H&M collaborations? Marant's infamous high-top wedge sneaker has been seen on all top celebrities and models, making it a "must-have" at the top of our list. We're both huge fans of her Parisian chic, simple, and casual style. We can't imagine what great pieces and accessories she's going to create for this affordable collection. The collaboration was officially announced yesterday, to launch in November 2013 and we couldn't be more excited!

You can read all about it here: Isabel Marant for H&M.

Is it too soon to start a countdown?

SILVER LINING

1. Zara Patent Blucher - $90 / 2. Zara Crossover Metallic Sandal - $80 / 3. Jeffrey Campbell Encase
 4.  Zara Metallic Plate Sandal - $40 / 5. Jimmy Choo Anouk Heel  - $650

Bring a modern, intergalactic twist to your wardrobe with a pair of extra shiny metallic shoes. Metallics were seen left and right on Spring & Summer runway shows and now it's your turn to try out this wildcard trend. We're loving the idea of a metallic silver oxford to pair with cut-off shorts or cigarette pants, as well as silver pointy toe pumps for a fun night outfit.

BONES AND FEATHERS

Always looking for unique little things to pile on, I came across this brand, Bones and Feathers, that is created and based out of LA. (I secretly think I should've studied accessory design) Founded by two young creatives, inspired by their upbringing in rural Kauai and urban NYC. I grabbed my phone, stalked them on Instagram and came across their lookbook. Simple, eclectic and unique.....I'm intrigued. Good Job Natalie + Cole.
