SANDRO

Sandro Paris Fall/Winter 2012 lookbook is absolutely killer. The collection is a cool combination between laidback pieces like baseball caps and sneakers with more structured Fall staples like moto jackets and trouser pants. I'm totally loving the leather accents and the unexpected red and blue leopard prints which is a fresh alternative to the regular animal print we're used to. Check out the rest of the looks - here.

TREND TUESDAY: BLACK & WHITE

We can't keep our eyes off the Motel Rocks Jordan Jean(black and white striped jeans) that are going to be a huge trend for the upcoming season. We've spotted them in fashion blogs, different brands, and in stores. These we love though because they are edgy, and a little bit more high waisted to hide that extra love. (we got you Miami girls, wink wink) Now, how the hell can we wear these without looking like Beetlejuice? (not that we don't like Beetlejuice...but just saying!) and most importantly, Where can we get them?!

Andrea got her hands on a pair at Zara, and I spotted a more affordable pair at Forever 21. I'm just saying.....

FASHION HERE, FASHION THERE

As Miami becomes one of the fashion capitals of the United States, there are so many store openings throughout this wonderful city....

Lacoste just opened this past weekend on Lincoln Road. What's the best part about a store opening on Lincoln Rd, Flagship!! Not sure what it means? Well, in simpler terms, its a super awesome store layout with the brands best merchandise! Easy enough?! Let's get to shopping! I think I might be swinging by this weekend to see what it's all about.

With Lincoln Road on our mind, there are other three other store openings that I think, should be written down on your savvy calendars: Forever21 Flagship store opening October 6th, Dylan's Candy Bar opening late Fall/early Winter , & H&M Flagship Store opening this Fall.

Rendering of what the 39,000 sq foot store on Lincoln Rd is suppose to look like
H&M on Lincoln Road in progress, we can't wait!

One more store that I was able to visit about two weeks ago, is the Alexander McQueen boutique at Bal Harbour Shops. It's been open for a little bit over two months, and i had to check it out!

Alot smaller than the mega stores opening on the beach, it will leave you speechless. This small treasure carries the infamous knuckles clutch, and silk skull scarves that everyone lusts for. (including myself) Along with pieces for his collection, handbags, shoes, accessories. A fashionista's dream come true.

All these stores coming to Miami, it makes anyone not want to move from here. I love how fashion is evolving in Miami. Excited much? This is going to be dangerous to our credit cards....leave them at home! or not.

Pppssttttttt......word on the street is that DVF, Marc Jacobs and Louis Vuitton are also opening in the Design District! uh oh!

YOUTH IN REVOLT

I'm completely obsessed with this retro inspired editorial from the U.S. September issue of Elle magazine! This season, designers got a little nostalgic and incorporated timeless trends from the late 60s into their collections and gave us some funky inspiration to try out. Think modern day Sgt. Pepper with bold colors, psychedelic prints, hippie flares, cropped pants, chunky platforms and mod sunglasses. Hope you kept your wide legs from last year because they are gonna be a staple all throughout fall.

WEDNESDAY WANTS: SUNNIES

It sure doesn't seem like Fall is arriving anytime soon in this hot Miami weather, with that being said, driving over to South Beach wearing your most stylish sunnies is a must! (You know, since come September we are still enjoying the beach) Here in Miami, wearing sunglasses is just as important as what shoes to wear with what outfit #fashionistaproblems Anyways, here are three of my 'Wednesday Wants':

ALL BLACK EVERYTHING

You can absolutely never go wrong with a black on black outfit. You can make it chic or you can make it edgy, either way the monochromatic look is a timeless fashion trend that works for any occasion (not just the obvious funerals). Now that fall is approaching, don't be afraid to embrace your inner goth and get a little dark; it can actually be fun to get creative and bring together an all black outfit that's both fabulous and fashion forward.

MENSWEAR MONDAY

In this household, Cole Haan is a favorite. My mom got me into the brand as she is a very good client. I myself own a couple pairs of Cole Haan shoes, heels, flats, sandals, wingtips, you name it. Each time I walk into the store it is quite dangerous because....dammit, their designs just keep getting better and better! On Saturday, my mom and I darted into the sight of the Cole Haan store at Aventura Mall. Of course, no surprise I was not disappointed.

One shoe that caught my eye was the LunarGrand Wingtip. Why?! I mean....why not?!!? Cole Haan, well known for their men's wingtip shoes, had me drooling over this modernized version. The lunar wingtip comes in a good amount of color combinations, it's hard to pick a favorite. Made of suede and a neon colored Nike Lunar sole, this shoe is perfect for work, a casual saturday afternoon, or even a day NYC. Yes, a day in NYC consists of alot of walking but these are so comfortable. Better yet, there's a women's version of the shoe. Hellooooooooo Cole Haan! ;)

WEEKEND RECAP: BAL HARBOR SHOPS

What other way to spend a Saturday than at Bal Harbor Shops. My mom, grandmother, and I decided to have a "girls day" and spend it at none other than Bal Harbor. My mom had never visited the mall, little did she know the treat she was in for. I mean, what better tour guide than a fashion obsessed daughter? haha

I, of course, drooled at all new Fall collections as I made my way from store to store. Fashion inspiration at it's finest. Being a visual merchandiser, window displays and store designs also caught my eye. Here's what my Saturday looked like...

These were my mom's favorites, Valentino Black Leather Booties
Shades of pink & purple at Tory Burch
Cameleon Handbag at Fendi
Window inspiration: Marc Jacobs
Men's button down shirts and sweaters at Carolina Herrera
Fall 2012 Collection at Dolce and Gabbana
There's something about black chandeliers that I love
Spikes gone badass, thanks Mr. Louboutin
All hail Mcqueen at Saks Fifth Avenue
These WILL be mine!! Brian Atwood is never a dissapointment.
