....and the collaborations begin!! No, it's not a typo and mark your calendars because on February 10th, Target will launch another amazing designer collaboration with none other than Prabal Gurung. Just in time for Valentine's day, this collection is full of color, prints, and love. Inspired by a girl's journey through the different stages of love, it couldn't be more perfect to launch in mid February. Honestly, if I had to pick a favorite piece, I wouldn't know which one to pick but I do know that I need to get my hands on a pair of those shoes. Not enough amazingness for you? Check out the full preview of the collection at elle.com
Feline inspired pieces are being spotted everywhere; from kitty and leopard prints on clothing, to cat faces on accessories and shoes. If you're not a cat person, let's forget about your choice of household pets and embrace this whimsical and fun portrayal of inanimate cats in fashion. This trend is retro, feminine and shouldn't make you feel guilty for betraying your dog :b
Kenzo sweatshirts and baseball caps are haunting me. They're literally on almost every blog I look at and I've got to admit, I'm still not tired of looking at them. The bright colors and embroidery really stand out to me and bring a fun factor to the outfits photographed on the streets. Now I'm inspired to go on a hunt for a comfortable, printed sweatshirt.
If you haven't realized, oxblood red is the color of the season. It's perfect for fall and winter and it's more versatile than you think. This shade of red is the perfect hue of wine, however not as deep as burgundy. I love when this color is paired with neutrals like taupe, beige and black but try a wildcard pairing and try to combine it with grape or orange. This color is a must at the moment, wear it now before the warmer months creep in :)
The PS Boys have done it again! Designers Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, the masterminds behind Proenza Schouler, have delivered yet another impeccable collection of women's clothing. When it comes to structure, textures, color and design, Proenza still remains one of my favorite designer brands. Season after season they never fail to deliver a collection with feminine pieces that incorporate the right amount of edge. Here's a preview of their Pre-Fall 2013 collection which features shiny metallics, graphic prints and oversized jackets. Looks like last year's trends are sticking around for 2013
"Don't look back. You're not going that way." - The perfect quote to start off a fresh new year and make it yours. 2012 was good to both of us but something tells me that 2013 will be more than great. We've got 365 days to write up another chapter in our lives; we're ready, are you?
P.S. Our New Year's Resolution is to try to focus more time on our blog and be consistent with our posts. We promise not to let you guys down or ourselves for that matter. Stay tuned :b
