Fashion's Night Out

On Friday, September 12, The Village of Merrick Park in Miami, FL hosted Fashion's Night out to kick off Fall fashion week. Ocean Drive magazine, one of Miami's elite magazines, hosted an in-store event inside Neiman Marcus. The second floor was packed with fashionistas, big spenders and fashion conoisseurs. Several complimentary open bars, champagne tables and hors d'oeuvres were conveniently available to the guests. A live DJ played up-beat tunes to get the crowd pumped for the free fashion show. When the show started, it was no surprise to see all the staple pieces for this year's fall season, including military inspired looks, animal print, leather, thigh-high boots, chunky knits, fur and metallic and sequined pieces. After the show, my friends and I visited other stores in the mall which had in-store celebrations; Betsey Johnson offered minituature cupcakes and Diane Von Furstenberg had a live DJ and complimentary champagne. Over-all the event was beautifully executed; the downfall of course was the terrible Miami humidity. Enjoy some pictures I took! - XO andrea
