What's better than songs about heartbreak, lust and obsession? Nothing. Yep I'm one of those love song junkies and The xx is all that and more. The band was formed back in 2005 in London, England when they were just 15. The band's keyboardist left the group last year, leaving the three other 20-year-olds to steer their way into fame. Their debut album "xx" was receieved with critical acclaim in the states and in Europe, even ranking as one of the best album's of the year in both Rolling Stone and NME. This past year the two boys and lovely lady played Coachella, Bonaroo and Lollapalooza and are gaining exposure by the minute. Their musical style is mostly low tempo, with electronic beats, guitar riffs and soothing vocals. If you like Interpol, give The xx a listen. - XO andrea
