WHO DOESN'T LOVE KEDS?

Finally, I feel like things are getting back to normal. Between WMC and UMF Miami was a mess all of last week. Don't go too far, cause Andrea and I were definitely part of that craziness. Besides the point, work and other responsibilities have been keeping us pretty damn busy, but don't think we abandoned you guys. We promise, it won't happen again. haha

As my dad flew in from Puerto Rico two days ago, I now have time to sit back, relax, and post. duh! For a while now, I've been wanting to purchase a pair of Keds. They look so cute with any outfit and come in an array of colors. It's hard to choose what color to get sometimes. So I decided to search the web, of course, for some inspiration on a color to choose. Except,  I came across a new line of clothes that Keds is coming out with and I was left with my mouth open. Not only is does the line simple and easy to wear. I think it's something that so many Miami-ans will rock. It's clean, put together, casual, preppy, and very art deco. I like to call it "Sunday-stroll-down-Lincoln-Road" look. I contacted Keds and ranted about how awesome the line was, cause you know, that's what I do. In return, we were able to get their lookbook emailed back to us. I'll show some of our favorite looks in a little....actually I'll show you now. I hope you guys really like it, because we really like the line. We can't wait to get our hands on a couple pieces.

this has to be my favorite look. Color blocking at it's best.

MSGM PRE-FALL '12/'13

Doing some late night web browsing last night, I came across this jaw-dropping pre-fall collection on KnightCat and I HAD to share this immediately. I had browsed through dozens of pre-fall and fall '12/'13 collections that designers have already showcased but to be honest I completely overlooked this one. MSGM created a feminine yet cool collection incorporating right on trend silhouettes with a plethora of fabrics, prints and colors.

I know I'm getting ahead of myself with this pre-fall collection for next year but I found it relevant for spring/summer too in more than one way. First off, the Contrast Tuxedo Pant: the tuxedo pant is flat out cool; add some contrasting colors and the pant gets a fun and edgy makeover that looks totally rad paired with some stiletto pumps. Florals: think big and bright for both this season and next. Try out a floral print top or a flirty mini dress. Brights: Colors like cobalt blue, canary yellow, emerald green and more are great colors to incorporate into your wardrobe whether it be a pair of tapered trouser pants, a mini skirt or blazer.

It was ridiculously hard to choose what pictures to put up because I'd literally wear every single piece from this collection. I'm telling you, it's THAT amazing! Check out the rest of the looks here and tell me what you think.

STREETSTYLE: HOT PINK

Working bright colors into your wardrobe isn't easy for most people. A good amount even try to avoid bright colors as a whole for many reasons. One color, however, that can't be ignored this spring/summer season is hot pink. As opposed to a pastel pink or regular pink, hot pink strays away from it's cliche girly association and can even be used as a unisex color. Hot pink can be edgy and can be worn easily with neutrals or clashing colors and prints. Use this color as a stand out piece in your outfit by bringing all attention to your blouse, skirt or even purse. This is a definite color you want to try out this season with a new tan.

UMF OUTFIT INSPIRATION

Who's ready to party this weekend? Because we sure are! Natalia and I have been in the WMC spirit all week attending some events and shows in South Beach and downtown but the real deal is this weekend and if you love electronic music like us, this is the place to be at.

The highly anticipated Ultra Music Festival starts tomorrow and I'm sure all of you have your outfits or are putting them together last minute. Well ladies and gentlemen, I've created two outfit collages featuring typical UMF attire that are bright, trendy and perfect to keep cool in our sunny Miami weather. Enjoy and get inspired!

WMC/UMF IS FINALLY HERE

The holidays are here and by holidays I mean Winter Music Conference...the electronic music mecca for dance music enthusiasts. Miami is the place to be at this entire week and I'm lucky enough to say that I'm just a short drive away from all the madness going down in Downtown and South Beach.

Let's get real, this entire week is compiled of partying, loud music and bright lights (as if we don't see this year-round in our city) and with all the different events going on and Ultra Music Festival two days away we need to start planning our outfits. Natalia & I will be posting more ideas tomorrow but for now here's a little inspiration for all you WMC/Ultra attendees.

FUNKSHION RECAP

it's taken so long for us to post this week but between both our busy schedules and weekend preparations, things have gotten a little bit crazy. Here it goes...

Last week was Funkshion Fashion Week, which mostly took place in the  middle of fashion and art...Wynwood Art District. I got introduced to Funkshion Fashion Week once I was attending Miami International University of Art & Design aka Ai in Downtown Miami. I used to sign up to help out dress all the different models for all the runway shows and I always had a blast. When Andrea and I scored some Press passes, we flipped! I was able to attend all events last Thursday- Friday but Andrea could only attend Thursday nights events due to work. It's okay though. I still got some really good shots of some of the shows. Each bathing suit line was unique in its own way and If i had to pick a favorite, I don't think I would be able to. It's funny how much you learn going to these types of events.... I hope you guys enjoy :)

Night #1

Night #1, my good friend went with me to pick up our press passes. Small private event at a local restaurant in Miami Beach. We are obviously rocking our super cool press passes.
